Yes I lost my hubby 4 years ago just before Thanksgiving, and yes it's very hard at times. I get through it with the help and love of my family.

Yes I have and I don't deal with it well. I just take one day at a time and deal as the day goes by. There isn't much one can do...Just do the best you can.

Well, it is hard. I am not sure how to deal with it. You never get over that feeling of loss. My mother in law died awhile ago, and we miss her so much! So, it is always tough at this time of year and always! Good luck and maybe get some counseling!

yes, my grandfather.
just cuz its during the holidays doesnt make it any different from any other time of year. everyone mourns the loss, and any time that time of year comes around, of course, youll always mourn the loss, and the memory of your loved one.

This is spooky.I have lost my grandmother.Today is her birthday.I am on here as a form of escapism.It sounds silly,but I usually light a candle for her.

My uncle passed away on the morning of my 25th birthday. It was a rainy morning. Since then, I only have dinner with friends on my birthday and request no birthday cake and birthday song....

Just be there for them. I would say, just keep busy. Look for someone to help that is worse off than you are.

unfortunatelly, i lost my grandfather around christmas last year. it was a difficult time, and i imagine that this year will be no different. he will be missed.
