I've searched on-line and in every store searching for this doll. I can't find her anywhere. I know they are available on Ebay, but they're asking $100+ for a $40 doll. Further, there are plenty of Caucasian Baby Alive Dolls available. Why is that? I think it's a conspiracy to ruin little African American girl's Christmas.

I too am in your shoes. I've become increasingly annoyed. All I want to do is find this doll that looks like my daughter. I did purchase the Caucasian doll to hold until I find the African American or Hispanic one. It is really sad that those two are so hard to find. I've never thought about this before but when my four year old daughter wonders why not one princess looks like her what do I tell her?
I also wrote an email to Hasbro customer service stating my ordeal and asking that if they knew Christmas was coming and that their item has been so popular than maybe they should have made an overstock. It's very sad.
I wish you luck. My daughter has not wished for this item but I know that she will love it so if I don't find it before Christmas I'll just have to buy it after Christmas.

I know exactly what you mean - it's been hard to find Baby Alive in ANY ethnic form in my area. I do believe that ToysRUs has the African American model available, although the availability status seems to change throughout the day, so you need to check it often. I even started a little blog about a week ago to list the websites I've found where to buy Baby Alive without much trouble. It includes a link to ToysRUs too. Here's where you can find my list:
