Seems like you care too much of what others think of you. Trust me, I've been there. Maybe your scared of rejection as well. Hey, just remember, your boss, say hi to people who you want to say hi to...u don't have to be nice to everyone. Take care of number one, you. Oh, maybe you have social anxiety as well...that's actually a more common problem than u think. And, don't try to "mix" or "fit-in" w/ people, be your own self...others will follow. In other words, be a leader (love yourself before anyone else), and people will be around you. And then, whats great is that you have the ability to choose what kinds of people you want to be around.

It sounds like you are a very shy person with social anxiety. I had extreme problems with this when I was a kid, I don't suffer near as much now that I am grown. It really freaked me out when both my children turned out super outgoing -though this probably helped me because it forced me to talk to people. You need to MAKE yourself respond to people even if its very limited. Take baby steps. If you see someone you know when you're out, just give a little wave, little smile and act like you're in a rush, don't let them chit chat with you. remember baby steps. You have to force yourself to respond some and little by little you will find it easier. Accept yourself! You probably will NEVER be outgoing. AND THATS OK!!!!

This sounds more like anxiety than anything. You've seen someone you know but avoid them to avoid interacting with them?
Sounds like you're not too secure in dealing with them or your confidence is off.
You also have trouble dealing with strangers and being open with them right? Think anxiety.
RU you comfortable staying in your "comfort zone?"

already many of our friends gave u suggestions
one more......................
it may be happening due to ur childhood experiences
i thought....................
like u may be a dull student,
dont look good,
doesn't belong to a prestigious family etc
all these r reasons for a child to develop inferiority during childhood
any one of these happened to u
any way we cant do anything about the past
so better late than never u do planning for the future
leave the anxiety, fear
come.........go along the wind
no one has the time to think of u.

You have some sort of underestimation within you that you cannot interact nicely or efficiently that has to go. self confidence to be built up by thinking "I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me". say these words whenever you have problem.
