Mars is 2 months away by spaceship. I'm guessing they can only hold the Slurm energy drinks in for that time. After that You have to take a major piss.
Its like drinking a 62 ounce big gulp and driving from california to Maine without a pit stop. I wouldn't do it either. Think of Earth as an intergalactic pit stop.
Or pick up a gift or flowers for friends/relatives

Good question ..... may lead to refuting the claims of their visit.
Alternatively, it is also a possibility that after all, they are not as intelligent as we think they are just because they could come here and go away without we being able to capture them.
Yet another possibility could be that they wanted to just sow a seed of doubt in our mind to retard our overall progress.
Nothing is impossible!
