I got this idea from a tv cook, Rachael Ray. She says that a great gift would be to buy the raw ingredients for a certain recipe, say pecan pie, arrange the stuff in a basket or paperbag, copy out/print out the recipe on paper and give it to the person as a gift. So, you could get the ingredients needed for a tray of Christmas brownies, pack them up in a nice basket and give is as a gift for the Christmas party. Sounds like an original idea.

I typically like to give books for Christmas gifts. Might sound kind of nerdy, but a lot of people love them as they sometimes become favorites and are read several times over. Of course, you have to pick the book carefully, so the gifts seem more thoughtful, and their CHEAP!! Last year I gave out Feast of the Seven Fishes, it's a amazing combination Cook/Comic book based on a Christmas Eve tradition with the same name as the book. Since it was such a hit last year i'll be giving them out again this year-not to the same people of course. Here's a link to their site, give them a look see.

Depends on what you wanna do and what type of person you are. Last year I went to my wifes boring womens (basically) christmas party and one lady bought a pair of edible undies for the seceret sants thing. It was funny as hell and they all wanted to have the gift. It was a nice ice breaker for an otherwise prude party. Especially since tehy all work at a Christian Charity.

That shook things up nicely and overall is considered quite innocent because we were all grown people. Nothing wrong with it, and much beter than the x-tra large Toblerone.

You can go into a Hallmark store and pick up a silver plated ornament that has an opening for a photo. It is a nice X-mas themed gift and fits into the money limit. This way the person receiving the gift can add it to their ornament collection.

How about a candle, a Christmas Theme Willow Tree (those are little figurines sold at Hallmark stores), or placemats settings.

One year my office gals gave me a huge lump of coal. You can go to just about any concrete plant and get a chunk. They wrapped it in the most beautiful package you have ever seen. They had another box that had a wonderful bottle of perfume attached to that one.
And then another box on top of all of that with candy.
I had to follow directions, open the candy, the perfume and on the bottom box they had written from Santa, the only gift you're getting from him this year.....

Yes, go to a craft store and buy an inexpensive miniature Christmas tree. One of those decorative ones that are like $3. Then buy some little tinsel, bows, etc. for it and decorate it! Then attach like a $10 girt card to it. They will love the gifr card and can set the tree on a table for a decoration! Good luck!
