I don't wanna freak you out, but I heard of a study where young kids and animals can often "see" ghosts because they don't know not to "believe" in them.
* Children and animals see ghosts easier than adults because their intellect isn't telling them ghosts are imaginary
* Your house may be haunted if: Pets react to something others can't see

I can assure you it's not their tails. One of my cats is a manx (no tail) and she does it. I think they are just chasing some imaginary mice. How much catnip are you giving them??? LOL.

i've discussed the same with my cats - Monkey & Cabbage and they both explained that they are playful creature and likes to have fun all the time. that's why they like to jump here and there all the time, specially Monkey (that how he got the name!)..
