Hi everybody!!!

I'm planning a week-end in London and I hesitate between 2 hotels : one situated in Paddington (Stylotel) and the other one situated in Euston (Ibis).
Which one has the best location in order to make the most of my week-end???

Thanks a lot if you can help me!!!

Either, they're both close to underground stations. Living close to Euston, I'd say that Paddington is probably the more attractive area and the location of the hotel, Sussex Gardens, is better than the Ibis, which is down a side street. Sussex Gardens is also only a short walk from Speakers' Corner in Hyde Park, which can be fun on a Sunday. Also you'd be close to Oxford Street and a multiplex cinema at Marble Arch. So I'd go for Paddington.

Paddington is better than Euston, but you should stay in Kensington, near Earl's court. The Picadilly line runs there directly from Heathrow for about 4 pounds (use the elevator instead of the escalator for your luggage) and there are many inexpensive hotels in that neighbourhood. You don't need luxury, because you'll be out all night having fun. Kensington is a great area to walk around and is close to the museums.

Euston is ok if you want to see Regents Park, The British Museum, British Library and Bloomsbury. Paddington is near to Bayswater, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Albert Hall and Oxford Street, Central London in general. Type in the name of what you want to see lots of maps to help you.

Paddington is better area than Euston. More going on, more people and I think slightly safer.

in simple terms get the bus 205 right exterior paddington station and it stops right exterior euston station. Fare £2 if paying for the cost ticket from the device £0.ninety if making use of an oyster card. trip could be no extra beneficial than 20 minutes. once you're achieved at Euston station walk to the suitable street, pass over and take bus 390, (comparable fare applies) and get off at oxford circus. that is 20 minutes tops. i advise you purchase the two a travelcard which won't be able to be bought for single zones yet incredibly in pairs (one million-2, 2-3, one million-2-3-4 and so on..)

I would go for the Euston one as it will be easier for going out and there will be loads of taxis to take you back there if you go out and it will be cheaper. Paddington is actually quite far away from Central London.

All depends on what you want to do when you get to London.

Paddington: great access for West London (Notting Hill, Portobello Road etc). Direct underground to High Street Kensington on District or Circle lines (Fantastic shopping), Oxford Circus/Piccadilly Circus on Bakerloo line.

Euston: great access for central london, within walking distance of Tottenham Court Road/Oxford Street. Easy Tube access to Leicester Square/West End.

Where are you coming into London from? If you're coming in from the North of UK I'd opt for Euston - trains from Midlands/North come into Euston or Kings Cross which are easy access. If you're coming from the South/West of UK then opt for Paddington.

Enjoy your trip!
