Journalism can never be dead. Its alive and reigning the lives of the people. be it in a positive way by educating and informing the people about the know-hows of the present world
or in a negative way by manipulating the opinins of the journalists. the fact is journalism has a deep impact in the lives of people and they are affected by the news and views of it.

Your question is missing some essential info: Mainstream (traditional) media/journalism as opposed to New Media (citizen journalism and the like.)
