Genius is that quality which allows you innately to surpass others in a particular part of the more favorable traits of humanity. Genius comes in many types (intellectual, emotional, artistic, and so on) and should never be considered IQ-based, as the IQ test is a sham anyway.
I consider most geniuses to have a quality which makes them outliers: often they possess a little quirkiness in manner or personality. It's this extra spark which makes them rise above the rest, no matter what kind of genius one happens to be.

Extraordinary. Exceptional. The best at whatever they do (whether it's art, music, science, math, etc). Touched by God. All geniuses have this in common. A certain magic. An indefinable quality that sets them apart. It seems to be innate. You can't make a genius. They are born. They are different, unique. You can tell very early on, from infancy, that they are special and destined for greatness.
