Here on Cape Breton Island, off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada, we got an early blast of winter on December 4. It snowed most of the night and we ended up with 28 centimeters (almost one foot) of heavy wet snow. A typical it's-not-quite-winter surprise. Especially since all the weather forecasts missed it completely. We were supposed to have mostly rain with some snow mixed in later in the night. It should be quite a mess if the forecast is actually right on Thursday when it's supposed to be 8 degrees Celsius and rainy. I'll keep my shovel handy just in case.

None because I'm in New Orleans. Hopefully it will stay this way because last time we had snow the worst hurricane we ever experienced followed the summer after.

Actually, where i live it got hotter this weekend for some reason. I do live in California, so it doesn't get cold enough to snow here usually, except in the mountains.
