The only reason a prospective employer is interested in why you left your previous jobs is, they wonder under what circumstances you might leave them.
Try to frame the situation in a way that suggests this is not likely to happen again. You had to have bed-rest during your pregnancy; you couldn't help that. And it's not likely to happen again, is it?
If they call your previous employer, the worst they are likely to say is, "We wouldn't hire her again." They are scared to say more for liability reasons. And maybe they would hire you again, I don't know.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

You actually have a couple issues. here.
1. I don't think you can be terminated for a medically ordered bedrest in the US or several other countries. Contact your state's labor department. They may have an interesting suprise for you.
2. You do not have to mention the termination. You can state that you left the job to concentrate on your family. You do not have to say you were fired.
3. If your previous employer decides to give you a bad recommendation, they can be liable for damages in some cases. This may be difficult to prove. Many employers will only state the start and end dates of employment, simply to confirm that it happened. They will not give a recommendation.

Depends on how long you had the position. Is it something you worked at long enough to warrant listing on a resume' or application? If so, it's best to be honest. I would put something like, terminated (health problems) and leave it at that. If they want to know, they will ask.

When they call previous employers, they can ask two things:
1) Length of employment-dates you worked there
2) Are you eligible for rehire?

I don't believe in hiding anything that could be found out without your revealing it. You did nothing wrong so tell the potential employers you were terminated due to problems with your pregnancy. If your previous employer is fair about it he should back that up and you are not suspected of hiding facts. It shouldn't hurt your chances.

If you are putting the job on your resume, and if you worked there longer than 3 months, it should be on your resume, then yes, you will need to be honest with why you are looking for new employment. Not like you were stealing or had multiple absences for no reason.

don't say unless they ask.

but i am very curious about your previous termination. most states have laws protecting the jobs of pregnant women if they are forced to go on leave. as a woman and a lawyer, I wouldn't stand to be discriminated against like that.

no dont mention it at all, if they ask just say that you left due to career advancement or for personal reasons. Never say that you got terminated..in these instances its OK to tell white lies.

on an application I put to be discussed, then if they ask I tell the truth, cuz if you lie and they find out, they might not like that

if you don't need the experience carried over to the next new job..then just don't list it as a previous employer. just say you were a student or something in that time frame, if they ask.
