So many Generous before us have believed they were living in the end times. At the turn of the centries. In the 80, etc. The disaster of the Y2K bug having far reaching effects.
You think our society is just starting to do away with religion? It's been going on for years. With the exception of a few I don't think it's doing away with religion It's more not letting any one religion rule.
Plus America has had the separation of church it's not something that has just happened.

Society is not trying to do away with religion. Religion is great but it has no place in a science classroom or publicly funded schools. There should be no persecution for what one believes but it is wrong to preach religion with public taxdollars. Religion is something that if you really want you child to know you should teach it to them yourself rather than forcing your particular beliefes on someone elses children whos parents believe something different. And I don't think that we are in the end times. This is nothing. We haven't seen anything yet.

Well, technically, Paul the Apostle thought he lived in the end times, so yes. All AD Christians are in the end times.
To be specific, my friends and I have speculated a lot lately about Ezekiel 38. We think the US is one of the "whelps" of Tarshish, which we believe is England.
It would seem, with Russia selling arms to Iran that they are seeking spoils of war...
And, like the answerer above said, People alive in Christ have no reason to fear (or dead in Christ).
EDIT: Tim LaHaye and Hal Lindsey are fairly good sources of Revelation prophesy interpretation.

I honestly believe that no one can know, that it will come when we least expect it, and who knows when that will be
But to give my own opinion, I'd say all of us alive today will be dead before the end times, but once again, thats just an opinion

As a christian I do think about this issue, however, the Bible says not to worry because God's children will be protected.

Well, all I can say is I probably am, being over 60.
Now let me ask you. If you absolutely knew the world would end in one year, what would you do? How much would you wish you didn't know?

When I see dialogue like this I certainly feel like we are headed toward hell-in-a-handbasket.
