UNSPSC has separate commodity code for those two items. Can someone tell me whats the difference! Thx

Can Some one help me to Classify these two Items in UNSPSC? When should I take UNSPSC COMMODITY "DESKTOP COMPUTER" and PERSONAL COMPUTER as these two separate commodity exists in UNSPSC. There saparate commodity for NOTEBOOK Computers

umm.... nothing! Read the description of what the computer is geared for, thats your biggest clue. Otherwise, theres Personal Computers, and Workstations.... Both are considered desktops though.... the only thing that doesn't fit in that category would be a 'laptop' or a palm pilot

Personal computer is generic term

Desktop Computer fits on your desk
Tower is a desktop that sits on the floor
Laptop fits on your lap
Portable is portable
Notebook is the size of a notebook

Personal Computer is the computer itself, Desktop is a type of PC. You have notebook pc's and desktop pc's.

desktop and laptop are both PC (personal computer/s) , maybe some people define laptop as personal computers, but this is an inaccurate way to do so.
