Only if you are involved in an accident for instance in a car collision or airplane crash and your watch was shocked with your body, or if your watch was hit by the same bullet or another bullet which hit your body and killed you. The other possibility is if there were and earthquake and you died in the earthquake which also shocked your watch. You might be referring to the song, My Grandfather's Clock which goes: Ninety years without stumbling, tick tock, tick tock, but it stopped short, never to go again when the old man died.
Now that was of course either a coincidence or a made up story.

If you have a autowind wind up mechanical watch or just a wind up watch, it'll die around two days after you've snuffed it....
So no....... :) unless an nuclear bomb takes you out....
Crashing in other things like vehicles or planes may leave the watch working... unless it's totally crushed... so oh well.......
I do not really want to try out this theory though !!

a watch battery will last longer with the heat and movement of your pulse so some watches do actually stop when you die but its not because the watch was timed with your soul or anything the battery just died and your heat was giving it alittle more juice is all

No your watch does not stop. Those who find you or if you die on your death bed, family will stop a clock to know the time of death for the coroner and basicly to record the time of death. Thats why a clock is stopped.

I had an aunt die and the antique pendulum clock that she had given us stopped. It had never stopped before (unless it needed winding) and it hasn't stopped again. That was seven years ago.

The death itself would not cause it to immediately stop, unless it was specifically designed to do so.
If a person falls after dying, that could cause it to stop.

It would be incredibly unlikely for it to happen at the same time you died. Chances are about 10,000,000 to 1.
