Hi all. I need to use a life line here. I'll turn 38 next February. My baby asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday so she can start planning it. Folks, I have never celebrated a birthday in my adult life. I don't have a clue what I want.

After being in the military for 19 years and missing birthdays, holidays etc., I never thought much about things like this.

Please help me decide on something to do for a birthday. What have you done that was exciting? Thanks for your feedback.

I too am in the same dilemma. Today, December 4Th, is my 34th birthday. My friends have asked me what I want to do and I don't know either. After being in the Air Force for 12 years now, I just don't care because I have missed allot of holidays and birthdays. So now, I just do whatever my woman or friends have in mind. Because whatever makes them happy is fine with me and in the end, your friends and family is all you got. So my advice is to say "Surprise me", smile, and go along for the ride.

What do you like? Help your child to make this special for you. You sound very lucky to have someone care for you like this. If you are simple person, explain this also to your child. You deserve a celebration no matter how old you are. Get use to thinking you are special, because you really are.
Some people do dinners at home. Some like going out. I like to take my friends or family out to their favorite restaurant. You can even decorate there. Your child can make your favorite foods etc.
My idea of exciting would be celebrating it at the Renaissance fair. But that is something I like. Or going on a trip to the beach for a week.
Good luck. Sounds really cool. Do it with an open heart no matter how you end up celebrating.

usually i dont like parties, im not a party person
but when you do want to have a party( which is really a hassle, ) but sometimes you do need to socialize
so have great food, hire a caterer that would really cook delicious food for the party

if you can find a band that would play at your party then have it,
ask a friend to help you plan it out,
a party could be a picnic near the beach , with singing and dancing, or karaoke , and sports that stuff
party is all about the food, the drinks, talking to guests and really enjoying yourself do something that would really really make you happy its your party
you can plan a unique party,

if you want to be alone with her ,so prepare a delicious dinner with a birthday cake and invite her to be with you at home enjoying your time or even you can go out with her and spend the night with her in a restaurant eating and probably 1 or two glass of beer after dinner .
But if you want to have your friends around too ,so make it a big party with all the friends dancing and having fun!

I had a similar issue, I never celebrated either growing up. Just think of some place you want to go to...something special. Is there a theme park or restaurant that you have always wanted to try? Don't think of the others, think of yourself and how it will make everyone (including you) happy to celebrate your special day.

I went to a hotel with my girl for two nights. We got magnificently loaded and had copious amounts of sex, plus we ordered pizza and hung out and watch movies, and when we got bored, we had sex again. It was awesome, and I highly reccomend it. Something about being in a hotel room with alcahol turns most women into sexual deviants, which I personally love.
