if u are talking of the minimum wages to be given to a person in india, then there is the INDIAN WAGES ACT, by the governmnt, which is revised from time to time. it fixes a minimum wage given to a worker, no matter what kind of work is being done. so just search in google for wages act. and u`ll find some authentic results.

In a search engine for the internet, type in minimum wage and your state's name. In the results look for a government site, which will usually have www.ca.gov or the abbreviation for your state, and you should be able to find it.

http://dol.gov/esa/minwage/america.htm gives the minimums by state. If the state does not have a higher minimum, it defaults to the federal minimum of $5.15 per hour. This is for non-tipped employees - employees who get tips have different rules.

depending on where you live, I suggest contact the local workers unions, or your department of industrial relations, try to narrow it to the industry you are involved in, rather than just general. hope this helps, take care and merry christmas for u and u r familia.
