They would catch my eye if they were physically attractive, but one conversation would rule out all possibility of dating. I need an intelligent conversation, and someone that challenges my mind.

Nope, that would be a waste of time. If you already don't like their personality why date them? The relationship wouldn't go anywhere and would lack substance.
