The above statement about sperm dying once hitting the air is FALSE sperm do not die once hitting the air actually they can live up to 72 hours outside of the body in proper conditions!! I do not belive that there is acid that lives in your mouth, if that was true then it would start to eat the enamel off of your teeth after a certain amount of time, therefore I am going to have to say I do belive that sperm can live outside of the body and in the mouth depending upon how long it is in your mouth, remember there is bacteria in your mouth not a ton of bacteria but there is some that could kill some of the sperm but not all of it again depending upon how long the sperm is in your mouth. Now if it is only in your mouth for a short amount of time such as a few seconds then I would say that yes maybe some of the sperm died but not all of it there are thousands up thousands of sperm in a little drop of semen. So I am going to back up the theory that some of the sperm can still be alive even if you spit it out, again depending upon how long it is in your mouth but I don't believe someone would hold it in their mouth for an extended amount of time.
Sperm can survive for six to 13 hours in the mouth shown on this website this is what is said to be true from a forensic medical examiner http://www.forensicnursemag.com/articles/391clinical.html

human sperm can not live once outside of the body. They die when they hit open air.
