Well, there are many scary movies that I like, but my favorites have to be The Devil's Rejects & The Langoliers. I love movies that mess with your mind, and those two sure have.

The Haunting of Hill domicile (no longer the domicile on Haunted Hill). extraordinary 50' or perhaps 60's black & white in the past the days of specific outcomes whilst the story had to hold the action picture. Very stressful and packed with suspense.

For me it is probably Evil Dead 1. Halloween 1 and Friday 13th 1 were pretty scarey. I'm not keen on sequals. Dawn Of The Dead (George Romero/ made in 1978) and Dawn Of The Dead (director ? made in 2004) were pretty scarey to a lesser extent.

Texas chainsaw massacre, and the blair witch project because the thought of it being "a real story" freaks me out.
