Most Compaq and HP laptops, have that with fn key and f7 and f8 keys, but that is not the rule, some times that particular function has an special key out of the keyboard, if is not there any were, some old laptops have a contrast wheel on the side, or you may use sun glasses.....
hope you find it...

Don't know about Presario but your brightness is usually controlled by your graphics card so if you right click on your graphics icon in the taskbar, choose settings, and you should then have several options depending on the card installed so choose display and there should be a brightness and contrast bar. Best of luck

I don't have that laptop, but you should check your manual.
If there isn't a physical option, then most likely it's within your laptop's BIOS (Basic Input Output System).
That's the part when you turn on your laptop and it shows the Compaq sign.. it asks you to press F2 or F8 or DEL or whatever key it is to enter "setup"

I have Toshiba laptop, for me i need to hold down the function key (Fn) and hit one of the F keys with a picture of an arrow that points down with a sun beside it. I don't have any experience with Presarios.
