What is this? Science 9?

Something that is periodic will have a period. A period is a time interval over which the same thing is happening over and over.

A pendulum swing has a period. It takes roughly the same amount of time for the arm of a pendulum to do one full oscillation.

In the case of the ball dropping there is no period. If you were measuring the time between bounces the time would slowly increase until the ball was just sitting there on the ground motionless.

You probably didn't care about the explanation since you are likely just doing your homework and rather than think about it you would like to ask some random person online. An attitude like that will having you working as a gas attendant in a few years. Try to be more proactive with your education.
