At the end when the two cops touch each other's hands on the trunk of the red patrol car. The 'crying song' starts playing at the end as always (tonight it was 'I Was Older Then, But I'm Younger Now') anyway and this is the point of the show every week where if you're gonna cry, then now's the time. So, here I am,, you know,, about to cry and then they show this scene and the camera just sortof gets stuck on the two in a way that just made me start laughing my bottom off! It through the whole rhythm of the episode off. Oh, yeah my question. Do you think it's good or bad so many gay characters/storylines are cropping up on television now and what impact will it have, if any? ;-)

I thought the ending was a little cheesy.
I have noticed an increase in gay characters and gay themed storylines. Particularly closeted gay characters and "down low" storylines. I don't now the impact but I hope that it will increase the dialogue about the presence of homosexuality in society.

Hello,

My hubby and I watched Cold Case tonight as well and he called it, "Brokeback Cops". LOL

Yeah, I too usually get all teary eyed at the end, but funny thing happened tonight, I did not even blink.

Oh, I think it is getting to, "In Your Face" with all these gay characters. I am assuming this is the only way to draw in new viewers or keep the ones they currently have. You know, just like with all the sex in shows now.

I watch Veronica Mars and in the beginning there was no sex at all, but I am also assuming their viewers began to drop, so what do they do, add a little sex here and a little sex there....

Before you know it, I will not be watching TV anymore.

Hope this helps you...................... : - O

i'm tired of straight people complaining about having to see gay people on tv and in movies. i'm not saying you were complaining about it, but a lot of people do. gay kids are still getting picked on at school. gay people are still getting beaten up and even killed just for being gay... and this is 2006! oh yeah, my answer: yes i think it's a good thing. in fact, i think it's a great thing! if more gay people being on tv and in movies makes homosexuality not such a big deal anymore and helps gay people come out more and be themselves and helps straight people "get over" whatever it is they find so disgusting about gay people, then how can that be a bad thing?

btw, i didn't see the show... dangit! stupid basketball! : )

cheers,
Shauna!

It was cheesy and while I don't particularly agree with promoting homosexual storylines, the hand touching was just cheesy!
