Um a while ago I permed my hair with this perm kit i never used before. The ammonia was so strong! I mean really really bad and I breathed in alot of it. I was so mad I just threw it away. Then I found out not too long ago that I was 3.5 weeks pregnant. Did I damage the embryo? I'm thinking cause I know that whatever you breathe in goes through your lungs and filters into your blood stream to your brain and throughout your body. I just wanna know if this could cause a miscarriage this early in pregnancy?

No you will be fine! I permed my hair before knowing i was pregnant and i am now almost 37 wks!! Also it is ok to dye your hair while pregnant, there is no real facts prooving you cant and my doctor told me i could but that its a good idea to open a window while doing it and try not to breath in too much of the fumes.

Did you tell your doctor? They can test your blood to see if any of the flumes are still in your system. Still early so don't worry about it.
If you need a test of the fluid sac to help ease your mind, do it. The less stress you have the better.

I wouldn't think so. You can colour your hair whilst pregnant, so I can't imagine it being much worse really. Don't worry about it, and if you are, chat to your doctor. Good luck with the pregnancy :)

If you didn't miscarry already, you probably didn't hurt the embryo--just don't do it again. Don't get regular perms or use hairdye, either--these chemicals can get into your bloodstream through your skin.

Don't worry about it. One exposure isn't going to do anything. Its if your using those perms every day all day that problems come up.

I seriosuly doubt it. If you're 3.5 weeks pregnant, I don't think it harmed the baby any. If you're too concerned, talk to your doctor.
