I like the idea behind the BCS. The system itself is pretty good. Taking into account several hundred opinions and creating one final ranking is a great idea. The failure is in the final result, when you are looking for two teams out of three or four that are legit. A playoff would make things better (or easier or fair, depending on how you look at it), but the current system isn't all that bad.

There needs to be playoffs. Michigan CAN kill UF. Michigan almost beat OSU. Florida will get their heads pounded into the ground by OSU. There is no game this year. OSU was just handed the championship game. Congrats OSU. There needs to be playoffs because it's not fair that OSU just got handed the title without even playing for it.

I'm a realist, the BCS is the best we will ever get because of the way economics works in major college football, but don't ask me for specifics because I don't like economics.
