thusly giving you the ability to manipulate the dream to your liking, letting you make or do anything, even if they seem impossible? Letting you fly through the heavens, letting you hold power over matter, and having the ability to do whatever you wanted?...

Yes and I hate that feeling when I can't wake up...

I dream in vivid color and am, most of the time, able to stop dreaming at a certain point and then resume the dream at the point left off. I can manipulate most dreams very easily. There is one dream, really a nightmare, that I cannot manipulate, however. I can stop the dream and start at the same place again, but I cannot change the events that happen in the dream or alter them in any fashion. It is strange since it is the most violent dream that I have ever had in my life and it has haunted me for years.

Yes, I've been aware of myself while dreaming quite frequently, but....I tend to have really vivid dreams, involving almost all my senses, and they tend to be highly detailed and realistic.

Meaning? I can do *some things*, especially if it is just with myself, once I become aware, but other, large scale things can be more difficult for me to edit--if I have to concentrate too hard, I end up waking myself up.

But yeah, I've flown, teleported, changed my own shape slightly....and as far as other stuff goes, I've changed some environmental things on a small scale (think room-sized). And I've even had some contact with other folks I know, that I have been able to verify with them online mainly, that yes, they were there too in the same dream....

Of course the catch is, with some dreams, I end up in places where other people hang out and some of them aren't nice. Good thing for me is, if it gets too nasty I can almost always *make myself awaken* and bail out.

Bad thing is, the sleep deprivation I get from this isn't healthy.

But yeah, if my real life were *ten percent* as interesting as my dream life, I'd have a more promising life. ;) Really.

Hope this helps, and have a good evening!

Yes any time I have a nightmare at some point I will usually figure out having a dream. Also sometimes when I was doing something that I would usually never do, like having a smoke in bed when I still lived at my parents place.

Yes, I've had dreams within dreams.
And I've also had a dream within a dream within a dream!

Lucid dreaming I believe is what you're speaking about
when you say how you have the ability to manipulate the
dream to your liking.

I used to return to the dream I had the night before when
falling asleep and continue it night after night.

I read somewhere the first step to lucid dreaming is to
become aware of your hands in your dream. Before you
fall asleep, tell yourself you will see your hands.

Not all the time but I have done that. I will wake up and need to use the restroom and be mad that I woke up during a nice dream and I have been able to go back to sleep and continue my dream. I wish I could do it more often.

no i dont even realize that im dreaming, everything seems so real other than the fact its blurry in there. But one time when i woke up, i realize that i was controling my dream because i'd hear myself go then later she did this and it happened, but that only happened once. Though i do wish i could control my dream, then it'd be one of the places that can make me truely happy.

That's not really the way it works for me...I don't recall knowing I was in a dream and being able to control and guide the dream too often.
A few times I've been dreaming something bad and realized I was dreaming and was able to make it less bad or able to force myself to wake up.
A number of times I remember having one one of those really 'good dreams', you know the ones I mean...and I keep thinking "I don't want to wake up - I don't want to wake up".

Yes, all of the time. If i'm having a bad dream and i know that its only a dream, i'm not as affraid. And i have even learned how to throw myself down in my dream in order to wake myself up.

Yeah, I happened to me. Sometimes the dream is too bad but I can dream about it in a better way. Sound strange but it's true!
