Depends on time constraints and situation. Showers are faster and I tend to feel cleaner afterwards, but baths are more relaxing. There's nothing like coming in from the snow in winter and taking a nice, hot bubble bath.

I like to soak in the tub and read then I wash my hair, rinse my hair in the bath water, soak some more with conditioner on, do a quick rinse of the conditioner, then turn the shower on while standing up and do a final rinse on my hair and body and tub. Soaking in the tub is therapeutic for my aching muscles after work. Keeping the bathtub is essential to this concept, I wash it out before I soak and rinse it and wipe it down with my used bath towel as I am showering for the final rinse.

If it's just for relaxation a bath. If it is to get clean then a shower. Who would feel any cleaner laying in a tub with your own body funk.......
