I received a shoes as a gift that can't be taken back. They're a half size too big.?

Is there anything I can do to make my shoes fit??

Wear thick socks or like 4 or 5 pairs.

Sorry - shoes can be stretched but they can't be shrunk. Other than wearing them with thick socks, there isn't much you can do with them.

you can give that shoes as a charity, to someone who has the right fit...

why cant they be taken back? if you can't get them refunded you should at least be able to exchange them, receipt or not.
