I was in Barnes and Nobel shopping for books during the 1st day of release of the lastest Harry Potter (HP) book. I saw the lines were huge and most of them were college people and 30 somethings in line than school age kids, some dressed in Hogwarts Gear. Has Harry Potter Crossed over the Generation Gap?

i am a 20 something married female and my husband is mid 20's. i would have to say yes HP has crossed over the gap kids love the movies and books and so do teens 20s' 30's and even older. we were at a friends' one night and we, 2 kids (10 and 14) and their parents (in their late 30's and early 40s') all were agreeable to the subject. we all liked the movies and books!!!

It's been crossed over for several years. I don't know many under-20 people, and everyone I know has either heard of, enjoyed, and read all of the Harry Potter books.

I LOVE HARRY POTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have not crossed over the generation gap, though. I am 16, same as Harry!! It feels awesome to get to 6100 points answering a Harry Potter question!!!

As for your question, the answer is a big "YES". The young and the old have been equally grappled by J. K. Rowling's witchcraft. Its just..................... EXTRAVAGANT!

Harry Potter has always been one of those series that captivates people of all ages. I believe that's the main reason for it's appeal. I'm well over 20 - love the series and always have. :)

It's ok. I first read it when I was 8 and the fist movie was released. Got me hooked on fantasy though I don't really like the later books as much as the earlier ones.
