It is very normal. Some women have smal contractions before their due date that mean nothing. The only time you should worry is if the pain is consistent and in intervals at say 8-10 minutes apart. Don't worry about it too much because you should be fine.

Congratulations, your baby is now taking up as much room in your abdomen a possible so it will be causing you to be very uncomfortable, but you shouldn't be in 'pain' all day, if your in pain then consult your doctor to reduce the pain. This is the time you need to be relaxing doing squats once or twice a day for about 10-15 mins, this will help to bring the baby down onto your cervix to help dilate, sex is good to soften your cervix so adding then together and it should make your labour easier. You need to find something that helps you relax, taking a warm bath, depending where its hurts maybe a heat pack could relieve some pain. As your in your last 2 weeks you should be seeing your doctor weekly so ask him or her what you can do to get comfortable and also if things are progressing, ie- your baby engaged, your cervix thinning and starting to dilate, etc. Its very common for women to be completely over pregnancy after 36 weeks as it just gets to be so overwhelming and uncomfortable. Your baby will be here soon so rest up while you can, you will need every bit of energy and straight for labour and birth. Good luck and best wishes with you impending birth. You will do fine so stay positive and remember this pain is worth it once holding your baby you'll know how worth it. Stay positive.

You could be experiencing Braxton Hicks, which are uterine contractions. Even though you would feel these more in the second and early third trimesters, however, you can mistake them for labor (I sure did) in the last few weeks of pregnancy. Definitely call your health care provider to describe your discomfort to make sure you are actually not in labor. Even if you are in labor and deliver now, you and your baby will be absolutely fine. Many women deliver a few weeks prior to the due date.
Good Luck :-)

I remember my last couple of weeks I was in a bit of pain.
Your body is just getting ready for birth.
If however you are somewhat worried, just give your OBE a call for peace of mind.
