answer is a) conduct heat readily.

why? 'coz metals are good conductors of heat, as well as electricity
by conductor i also mean they transfer it real quick. So a metal will also get cold quickly (u can test that by putting a metal vessel in the fridge and checking how quickly it gets cold)
This is chiefly due to its electro-positive nature, having very few electrons in the outer shell/orbital. when lots of metal elements get together, their outermost electrons start flowing around freely, making a sort of electron-cloud around the metal. it's this cloud of electrons that passes the elctricity so easily, or absorbs/gives off heat so fast.

the other options belong to:
b. an ACID turns litmus paper red.
c. ACID reacts with bases to make salts
d. an element with more than 4 electrons in its outer shell/orbital becomes negative when combined with other elements (for instance halogens like Chlorine, Iodine. Metals on the other hand, have only 1 to 3 electrons, and so get mostly positive during combination / compuond formation)

Probably a but it may be able to become negative when combined with other elements (depends on what you're combining it with). Good luck!

A) conduct heat readily. The others are chemical reactions NOT a physical attribute.
