If his friend was really interested in you... I mean big time... he'd call you regardless of what you ex-husband says. Its as simple as that.

Well, there are two things going on here --- 1) Ex-husband's friend won't call you and 2) You want to talk to the friend. First, if the ex-husband's friend won't call you because he is worried of upsetting your ex, then maybe he is not the right person for you. What if you were to get serious and he continued to worry about what your ex would think? If just getting him to call you is a problem, then starting a relationship could be even more of a problem. However, not knowing you, your ex, and the friend, I would ask, "Why don't you call the friend?" Is there something holding you back that you can't call the friend? Maybe the friend would prefer you to call so he won't feel guilty for upsetting the ex. That way, it out of the friend's hands since you took the initiative. I would suggest that you make the call. Really, that is the only thing holding this entire situation up --- a phone call. So make the call. It does not sound like it matters who makes the call so go for it.

Do you know how to press the little buttons on the magic speaking device also known as the telephone. You could leave naked pictures of yourself on his truck.

If your ex's interested friend doesn't have the balls to call you it's not your ex's fault.
