I need to pretreat them before washing- they look like they have been there a while- but the shirts are nice, I want to save them- what can I use to get the stains out?

mix half amonia and half bleach for colours. don't breath it in because it's potent and you can pass out or cause harm to your lungs.

soak the pit-stain in the ammonia mix for at least five minutes before washing.

Try scrubbing with OxyClean. If you can't get the stains out, reverse the collars. See the stitching line where the collar attaches to the shirt. Rip that out, turn the collar over and restitch.

I've heard lemon juice works.

soak them in a weak solution of bleach
