There are several good venues you can do the research on Tornados.
1. The library should have books, magazines.
2. The internet the search engine ASK.com is good idea or just type in Tornado in the search bar in IE.
3. Go to the National Weather Service website.

The National Weather Service (part of NOAA) has a great site with all kinds of wonderful tornado information. They even have old reports that show what the weather was like at a certain place when a tornado occurred. You will have to dig a little, but there is a wealth of information available. Good luck.
