...why do we glorify thinness?

My theory is that thin (fit) is good, so we think: you can't have too much of a good thing...

All my buddies prefer a woman with a little girth to her.
We don't want a woman that feels like she'll break with
a little hug. I'd love to see a nudy mag that pictures
normal full figured women.
My wife is fully full figured, mama-mia, and the first time
I saw her naked I was hopelessly in love and knew I wanted

Different women look better at different weights. I think skinny women are unattractive, but if they're just naturally small, it looks different. Just like some women look good with some muscle tone, and some women look better with a little "pudge" (that's the P.C. term I hear girls use now days :P)

We men could easily use the same thing back; how come men are supposed to be "a certain way"? Not being harsh, but it's more women being hyppocritical than any real problem. Sure, men like to see a pretty woman in skimpy clothing on TV, but women like seeing men as well. Women simply worry too much; it would be cute if it didn't get us chewed out all the time for it :P

We don't. The idea that thin is in is just a myth. Everytime a celebrity gets too thin they are put on the cover of magazines telling them to gain weight. Some countries are banning the skinny models. If being thin is so popular why are there so many fat people?

I disagree. I think women look best when they have curves. We are supposed to be curvy. And most guys I know love curves.

Example: Men consider Kelly Brook to be curvy. She has a BMI below 18, so she is actually considered thin.
