I am assuming that you are trying to keep it inside over the winter. If so, your plant will require a high sunlight exposure. Also, watch for aphids or scale insects. They are really sneaky when you try to keep plants indoors. If you see them on stems or buds, you can spray with aerasol Raid House and Garden. Also, this plant in full sun will require water on a regular basis.
Good luck.

Cut all the branches off to the base of rose. When Spring comes it should all come with new growth. If you live in a really cold place or the rose in the shade, make sure you don't give too much water or it might start to rot or go mouldy.
