Hank Williams III had a long and funny battle with Wal-Mart over his last album.

The Wal-Mart version of CDs are censored. They have either changed lyrics or silenced the vocals just like they do on TV.

Hank III had the censor put the actual "beep" over all of his cussing and it was like listening to the Jerry Springer show. Wal-Mart wasn't amused and told his record company. The record company went back to him and let him know, but he said "You can tell them to..." (I can't write the rest or I'll be reported, but you get the idea.)

His record company told him the same thing back and it was because 40% of all of the country music CDs in America are sold at Wal-Mart. That is pretty impressive, so $$ won over artistic freedom or a sense of humor.

David Allen Coe has a couple of stickers on his CDs too.

Not for certain, but I would say that Hank Williams Jr. probably does and maybe David Allen Coe. I cant think of any others right off the top of my head but those two are the most likely ones that would have advisories because of their songs lol :o)

I do not know of any off hand
I have listened to country for almost 40 years and know there are a few lyrics that may be controversial but not enough to warrant the parental advisory

The followers the own are demanding as hell too. some human beings (12 - sixteen year. olds) categorize green Day as hardcore Punk. Others categorize Linkin Park as Heavy metallic. and a few call Taylor quick the main inspirational artist of the last decade.
