If you don't follow college then why do you care? Michigan had their shot but couldn't seal the deal Florida plays in the toughest conference hands down and their only loss came to a then number 2 auburn and came out as the sec champions. So Florida is rightfully playing for the championship so let the mighigan fans cry all they won't cause until the ncaa gets off their asses it still going to be the same old stuff about the bcs.

The 2 best teams will be in the game.. Ohio State and Florida.. Floridas going and deserve to and here's why.....:

Offensive TD's Scored:
FLORIDA - 44
USC - 43
Michigan - 41

Average Yards per Play:
FLORIDA - 6.51
USC - 5.95
Michigan - 5.64

Top 25 Defenses Faced:
FLORIDA - 5
Michigan - 3
USC - ZERO

Losses to UNRANKED teams:
USC - 1
FLORIDA - ZERO
Michigan - ZERO

Losses to Top 15 teams:
FLORIDA - 1
Michigan - 1
USC - ZERO

So it must be a problem with our defense, you say?

Scoring Defenses:
FLORIDA is #4 Nationally (allowing 12.3 per game)
Michigan is #9 Nationally (allowing 14.6 per game)
USC is #13 Nationally (allowing 15.1 per game)

SO...

The University of Florida has scored more Touchdowns than USC or Michigan... gained more yards per play than USC or Michigan... all against much tougher defenses than those faced by USC or Michigan... and has a BETTER DEFENSE than USC or Michigan...

When did it become more important to earn these "style points" (buzz word for what a team that the media wants to put #2 has and a team that the media doesn't want to put #2 does not have

What are you talking about? The Florida coach has been whining for about two weeks now attacking the Michigan program. The final selection came down to who made the most noise lobbying the media, not who was the #2 team. Lloyd Carr was too classy to stoop that low.

Whining? Who's whining? Is stating the facts now called "whining"?
Yes, pro is better. The SEC should be classified "semi-pro" and given a division of their own. Two of my uncles played Big Ten football more than thirty years ago, and that was the belief then, and now. No "scholar" hyphen applies with athletes in the SEC. But this year, the two top teams in the nation are in one of the best academic conferences, our own Big Ten.
Michigan lost to OSU by three points. Multiply that by a factor of five, or even ten, to get the point differential Florida will post in losing to the Bucks.
And yes, Urban Meyer needs deportment lessons from Coach Carr.

Michigan needs to get over it (do not blame the Gators, blame the Trojans) and I am tired of hearing people attack Urban Meyer who has done nothing but defend his boys....

Michigan already had a chance to OSU. Its not fair to OSU to play Michigan again, espcially in back to back games. it nullfies the regular season. that the only reason I'm against a playoff.

Michigan's only loss was to the number one team. Therefore, they should be in ahead of everyone who lost to a lesser team. It is just that simple.
