In the old days of classic rock music and more modern contemporary rock music, with the newly form sub genres such as pop punk, post grunge, nu metal, which do you think is better, the old classic rock music such as Led Zepplin, Guns N Roses, The Beatles etc. or the more modern rock music such as Green Day, Linkin Park, Avenge Sevenfold, Blink 182 etc.

Definatley Classic Rock Like Led Zeppelin, I dont like the Beatles, they are to Pop For Me, But Classic Rock Because They Really Are Great Musicians And Singers and The Music At That Time Was So Fresh. Now Days People Have No Musical Talent Its All About Who Gets The Best PR, Is The Most Popular.

Classic rock was a new thing, a major innovation that took us places where we could jump off to the modern genres. Punks and downstrokers and urban rockers and rappers might have come along eventually but classic rock laid the highway more easily traveled. I think the old stuff holds its own against 21st century music. Its only rock n roll but I like it, like it , yes I do.

I would have to answer the Old Classic rock bands are the best and I bet you the new bands would say the same thing, because they got their musical influence from the bands that were back in the day...Queen, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, etc. etc. can't compare......

Grunge + post.
Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, Rancid (although punk), but in the same time frame.
