Definately! Its all about the hormones. I am 21wks and still cry although its not as bad as when i was in my first trimester. Back then i would cry over nothing at all! I would be sitting there and then i would just start to cry, or my fiance would say something (even the most innocent thing) and it could cause me to cry. And yet five minutes later that very same comment could make me giggle!! I'm sure he thought he was living with a skitzo for a while there! Things have improved though - my mood swings aren't as severe, but there are days when tears will well up over nothing at all ... i've learnt to just allow myself to cry and move on. Supressing it just makes me want to cry harder! lol.

I used to be the cold hearted person in the family. Now i cry at anything and everything.. The past week i will just start crying out of no where! its embarassing but funny at the same time. We cant control it, which sucks. Hormones are a crazy thing and jsut take over our pregnant bodies..

I cryed at a Folgers Coffee commercial while pregnant A woman remembers all the good times she had with her father and was sad because she wasn't going to see him that holiday season then in the morning he was making coffee in her kitchen and she came down and saw him... I was a wreck blubbering like a fool..
I cried for a few hours when my shoe lace broke... A shoe lace...
I cried watching the news story about the family who donated the tree to Rockerfeller Center...
I cried because I found the right hshade of red nail polish to match my holiday maternity dress..
I cried because the traffic light turned red before I got through the intersection...
I cried because the leaves were falling off the trees in Autumn..
I was an emotional mess for several months with each of my pregnancies... When I wasn't in tears I was Brady Bunch happy... My emotions would tur off and on like a light switch ..My poor husband lived in confusion for several months he would get up to get a drink of water and I would be laughing when he returned I was blubbering....
Hormones during pregnancy can be a rollercoaster one second you are at the top the next you are at the bottom... Luckily after pregnancy your hormones do level off to normal again sometimes with a bit of chemical intervention but they do get back to normal...

I don't cry for 'no' reason, but the silliest reasons. Happy or sad, it doesn't matter, it can be a commercial, a song, something my daughter says, pretty much anything. Fortunately I've managed to keep it in check when I'm around other people, and at 40 weeks now it can't go on for much longer!!
Best wishes.

Like everyone's been saying, yep, it's a pretty common thing.
I would just ask one thing of you: keep a close eye on yourself after bub is born. I suffered severe post-natal depression after my daughter was born, which took over 2 1/2 years to get over, and now I'm very slowly recovering from post-natal psychosis since the birth of my son almost 14 months ago.
Chances are you won't suffer post-natal depression at all, I just want you to look after yourself. If you ever find yourself feeling depressed and it doesn't look like going away by itself after a month or so, get help. I wouldn't wish what I've been through on anyone.
Good luck, sweetheart. I hope you and bub will always be happy :)

Oh my yes, its normal and its acceptable. And this emotional roller coaster ride continues even after the wonderful package arrives..and if anyones sighs heavy, roll their eyes...threaten their valuables with scissors...you'll stop crying for sure then!! Been there 7 times....well not litterally using the scissors but dont think I didnt think about it.:)

Absolutely, it is your hormones. Youy body is stir crazy adjusting to your pregnancy. Some women cry a lot, some sleep a lot, some want sex all the time, and some want to be left alone. It's all the hormones. Believe me darling this is normal and it will pass.

Oh, yes! This is very common and completely normal. I remember in the 1st trimester of my pregnancy, I was trying to flip a pancake and it fell on the floor. I cried for about 20 minutes.
