It's the miracle of spontaneous generation. You are one lucky unit, as paperclips are useful. I have also experienced the miracle of spontaneous generation. I had a cut on my leg last week and three days later I woke up with maggots between my sheets. Damn things won't hold two pieces of paper together unless you mash them. And as a devout Buddhist, I treasure all life.
