Hmm let's reviews Chelsea history, until Abramovich came Chelsea is always a rich club but stucked in the midtable. It always have good player and good managers but never won the title. Once the Tsar provide the money they grabbed any players they want, just like Real Madrid. But the different is Chelsea have several original players the likes of Terry and Lampard while Madrid bought players to sell more of their jerseys.
Right now Chelsea is the best club in the Premiership with 2 EPL titles in a row, but I think instant money always have negative effect. Why do I feel Man Utd will give hard times to Chelsea? It has to do with traditional roots with Man Utd titles collection on Premiership titles just like Liverpool traditional connection with Champions League cup.
There are lots of qualifications to be the Greatest team. For now I think there is no greatest team but only some great teams. No ultimate choice there we can compare clubs from several perspectives.

truly great teams play with flair and adventure....so that rules Chelsea out.
They are technically very effective at the moment, but dull to watch.
Plus, it seems morally wrong to call any team who have bought all their success overnight "great"... Its like calling someone who wins the lottery "a financial genius"
