I think that sometimes, it wasn't God's will for two people to get married to begin with, and when they part, the angels dance and sing.
I am married, happily, my biggest blessing. And I have four children, my next blessing. That being said, I truly think you have to work on your marriage to get through these times. However, if my husband was convicted of a crime he did commit--I would not be able to stay, on account of my children. I think that it would be too hard to trust him again, and I would feel terrible, if anything bad happened and I got that "I should have known" feeling.
Love does not fix all the problems, and so I ask you, if this were happening to your parents, would you want your mom to stay or go??? At six, at ten, at thirteen, and into adulthood--what are the ramifications for your child if you stay or go?
I say get your divorce, get on with your own life, and make the world a better place with your spirit. But this is a problem no one else can solve.

it may be best to move on, as u did not cause this, u played no part in his choices. don't make the mistake of thinking he will change, and all will be well, cause all that will happen is u will miss your chance with someone who will really be the one u need. he was incapable of being the kind of husband u needed and deserved. it is all good and fine to stick with him and wait it out, but prison changes people, and he may not be the same man u knew. it may be difficult to recreate the happiness u once knew. while waiting on him, u may miss a chance that would change your life. he is a very selfish man, he had it all, family, a good wife, and what did he do but mess it all up. shows he has no self awareness. you say it has been a struggle, well what makes u feel when he gets out that the same things won't still be there. i would say to wait it out would be wasting ones life, i have been there and done that, and regretted it.

Well, in some religions God doesn't ordain divorce as you said. But in others it is accepted as an everyday topic in life. Even if you were to divorce him, I believe God to be a forgiving entity. He will see past your fault, and the fault of your husband. He will forgive you of your sin.

Personally from my own standpoint I would not think twice about leaving the situation. You are obviously a smart person, and could make it on your own.

I wish all of the best luck in your decision.

Oo. Well. Thats a hard decision. For the fact your a young woman with a child, and your husband's in prison...I'd say wait awhile to see what'll happen, if it gets worse, you deserve better. Break up and find a new man. A reliable, nice, kind, caring sweet guy. That actually cares. You deserve better than what you've got.
Especially if he's gone and not there to take care of you and your child.

Divroce isn't "ordained" learn the correct terminology. I've never read anywhere in the bible where God has said anything about divorce myself. Maybe that is simply your brand of Christanity? I can't tell you what to do though. Your life is what YOU choose it to be. If you can't be happy with a husband in jail then you need to decide what to do. No one is repsonsible for making you happy except for yourself. As far as God goes, he gave you a mind and the ability to make choices..it's up to YOU to decide which ones you make.

i am kind of in the same boat, except my husband will be back in June...and I feel like i'm in limbo too. I've decided to stick it out, and see if he does actually change, if he doesn't then i can divorce him, if he does then it will be worth the wait. Good Luck, I know how you feel, i was left too a single mother. It's the hardest thing I've ever gone through. Maybe I'm crazy, but it feels like i'm doing the right thing, you have to follow your heart, whatever it's telling you to do , do it, it won't stear you wrong.

In the Bible it states how God would release you from a marriage. Please get it out and read, talk to your Pastor and ask him for advice. This may be hard to face, but why waste away with an immature man that clearly isn't striving to be a good Christian father or husband. God Bless

God forgives. Divorce him, he has done you wrong, & he will not be around to be your partner & work on your relationship since he will be in jail. It's time to start a new, happy life. Just do the best you can.

hard to say.. what are you looking for? How old are you? Do you love him so much that you are willing to wait? I suggest not but that 's just my opinion.
God will back you up in your decision... he made you and your brain! Do what you feel is good for you.. and my opinion is dump him and get on with your life.. you have one life to live.. don't waste it .
