you'll notice the only gals acting that way are the ones with the most insecurities about themselves...
they may be the best looking in the room or the fattest,it doesnt matter, they dont feel good about themselves and they mask it by belittling others to make themselves feel better...
these are the kind of ppl i love to avoid spending time with a)because i feel their bad energy rubs off on me and i start thinking critically about others too b) because i cant help wondering what they'r saying about me when my back's turned (and im normally pretty confident in my skin!)
the women like this are simply not happy with how they look, which can be hard to believe b/c they are often among the 'better looking'' gals in the room

Hey...I'm a guy and I see and hear a lot of women doing this. I have "that someone special" and she confides in me about this. She is very, very intellegent and makes this gift to me without being pushy. She says that most "catty" women are just so insecure about themselves they have to try to drag others down to their level. Unfortunately, they drag themselves even deeper.

put me downs to make me feel better about myself. involving competition between women jealousies. but you do not even know how much worse this can get. until you have been a supervisor in a department of about twenty or more women. and you make the mistake of paying a compliment to one, for doing a good job, where the others can hear see you doing this. and find your life to be a living hell for the next two weeks or more. and soooo much more. and i do not want to supervise, any group of women ever again.

women who criticize other women about petty stuff like weight or clothes are women that are very insecure and have no self esteem. it is easy to criticize other woman because it makes them feel a little better about themselves. The reality is that they wish they had the guts to be themselves but instead critizise all the girls that have selfesteem and guts to dress whatever they like no matter what their weight or size is.

it is defenitly most of the time jealous because they are insecure of who they are. it sucks. its really mostly about loving yourself in order to love others. if you love yourself you wont feel the need to hate on everyone. (and i mean really love your self..not like in a coincedied "mean girl" type of way. those girls don't really love themselves and always feel threatened by other girls so thats why they are mean.)
