Why do chicks care so much about shoes?

I personally don't think a person's shoes don't tell you much (if anything) about a person. I NEVER look at what type of shoes a person is wearing and I would never make assumptions about people based on their footwear. Apparently chicks care? WHY?

We care because we feel that shoes DO tell a story about a person to a large degree.

Are they fancy high heels?
Fancy or expensive sneakers?
Plain resposible walking shoes?
Low heels?
High 4 inch stilettos?
Are they expensive looking?
Do they look cheap?
Are they dirty and worn?
Do they look brand new?
Are they out of style?
Are they the lastest trend?
Sexy shoes that flatter a woman's feet, increase the looks that we get from men and I have known many guys who LOVE sexy shoes on women. It is just one more way, to make ourselves attractive to the opposite sex.

Do you see what I mean? We also can learn a little something from the handbag a woman carries.

We can also tell if a guy is poor or cheap or a big spender.
Also, if a guy is very up to date on the latest styles and how well groomed he is, overall, by his shoes.
His hair cut plays a role in this as well.

You might think that we can't form a first empression of someone, by the shoes on their feet but sadly, we do.

Really? Guys don't care? That's a new one to me. Cause when I have my high heel lace up boots on just with a normal jeans and shirt, I get way more looks. Of course I didn't buy them because I cared what anyone thought. I seen them and had to have them because they looked like old fashion victorian boots and I always wanted some. However my brother and his friend are way worse about shoes then I am. They're both into skateboarding and my brother alone has more shoes then I do. He even asked for more skate shoes for Christmas. I've know a few other guys the same way, so don't just be ragging on woman.

Girls are just wired differently than guys are. We care about shoes, you care about sports and othe guy stuff that we don't pay much attention to. Not everyone's the same though. Some girls could care less about what they wear. Anyways, shoes are just fun and like they say, a girl can never have enough shoes, so it gives us an excuse to buy as many as we want.

Shoes are looked at as accessories just like with belts, handbags, jewelry, etc. We feel that we have to have the right shoe to go with the right outfit. You may not care about shoes, but many chicks care how the shoe goes with the outfit.

Because you can never have enough pairs of shoes. It's something we can control and change to fit our mood. Why do guys care about watches, ties, designer t-shirts, cars, video games or whatever else they may be into? By the way, my husband is obsessed with shoes too except his are Jordans.

I go for what's comfortable and then I wear them until they fall apart. I have 1 pair of tennis shoes and several pairs of dress shoes/boots, but usually end up wearing one pair until I can't wear them any more. People, such as me, that have big feet generally cannot find stylish shoes.....so maybe that's why I don't care much about them?

I don't care about shoes. I don't like to shop for them, I don't collect them, and I don't wear them if I don't have to. I like to run around in my socks. Maybe a pair of flip-flops if I'm going out of the house.

I guess it's the female equivalent to men and motorcycles and stupid fish pictures. I could care less about a man's fishing ability and the motorcycle is a major turnoff.
