If I wanted to buy tickets to see the first showing of the 5th Harry Potter movie this summer at 12:00 AM, where would I do it, and how much in advanced would I need to purchase the tickets? Also, if I do buy them somehow, how many hours in advance would I need to show up? I was thinking 2 hours. I'm not sure. Any advice?

I have been to the midnight showing of all the Harry potter movies. I usually buy the tickets two to three weeks in advance and show up around six oclock. Me and my friends take turns waiting in line while the others go eat or walk around. Bring games or things to do while waiting in line, trust me it will get boring but you may not notice it since you will be so excited to be there! It's alot of fun. Good luck. (I can't wait to see it!!)

Find a good theater you like. Read all the books including 5 the week before and then go to http://www.fandango.com and order your tickets when they go on sale for the midnight showing in your area. I would look for them maybe a week ahead of time if not longer. Once you have the tickets just go in. Have fun! I'll be at one too. Midnight is best because there are no little kids..they're cute but they always talk super loud..

Plan on at least 4-6 hours of waiting in line if you cannot buy advance tickets. Also look for screening promotions from radio stations and newspapers. These will usually be given out for advance showings.

start looking for them around a month in advance on fandango. as far as getting there early, it depends on how picky you are about where you sit.
