1. Grieving from the family that suffers the loss.

2. Explanations are difficult to make to children and they learn of such a thing.

3. Funerals are expensive and a family must make payments during a time of grief that didn't have to happen.

4. If the suicide was by a primary caregiver, children can be turned over to the state (if it was a single parent) OR moved out of a home with which they are familiar due to financial issues.

5. A suicide can have a "domino effect" - it gets others depressed and brings such thoughts to the surface.

6. Police time removing the body and following through with investigating the suicide (especially if there are any doubts that it was a suicide) pulls police from other sites at which their time and efforts may be required when the suicide did not have to happen.

7. Children grow up not knowing a parent if the person committing suicide has children. That affects the lifetime of a child.

Well, there are seven off the top of my head. I hope these help and good luck! :o)

1: Suicide deprives family members of a loved one.

2: It teaches children that they aren't worthy of your love, respect, or guidance.

3: It causes feelings of guilt and anger in family members and friends left behind.

4: It puts out a message to society that human life is worthless and disposible.

5: It encourages others who are depressed to follow suit and do the same thing.

6: It leaves your family several thousand of dollars in debt. Insurance normally won't cover it so the family has to pay for the medical care, funeral and coroners expenses out of pocket.

7: It deprives your family of needed income if you are the money maker.

8: It can make the family left behind outcasts. There is always some jerk who will blame one of them.

9: It can cause permenate psychological damage to the person that found your body.

10: If someone donates your body to medical science, it gives pre-med students practice before they start cutting on the living.

11: If you're wealthy and leave a will someone can become financially independant on your account.

12: If you didn't leave a will our government will screw your family out of all of YOUR hard earned money.

13: It gives the grave diggers something to do.

14: If you're not the bread winner in the long run you will save your family money because they won't have to house, cloth or feed you.

15: If someone truly loved you,you would have broken their hearts and possibly their spirit and soul; because you just committed the most selfish, self-centered, cruel, mean spirited thing to them. You just told them loud and clear that they weren't worth staying around for. Some people never recover from such hurt.

Have left a disaster for someone else to clean up and take care of.

Leave a number of people hating, resentful, and angry at your selfish action.

Never get a chance to find out if life could be better for you in the future.

May have done so accidentally and this is one act you can't take back to try over.

Do not allow people to have memories of you without the overshadowing and painful visions of the way your life ended.

Might have thought it took courage to take your life but those you leave behind will know differently in that you were extremely sick, emotionally disturbed, and probably insane to have gone so far.

Will have left a mess for others to clean up which is an ultimate get back but also a sick act of revenge.

Leave behind survivors who may need years of psychotherapeutic help to regain emotional well-being to overcome the impact of your suicide.

Might saddle your survivors with intense guilt, self-doubt, and self-recrimination with the belief that they could have done something to stop you.

Might leave survivors who believe that since you committed suicide that they are also destined to do so themselves in the future.

Might spark the imagination of a survivor who sees how much attention your suicide is getting and wants similar attention so goes out and commits a copy-cat suicide for the sick need of sharing the spotlight and getting the same quick solution as you did.

Might influence others who are sitting on the fence to go ahead with their suicides since someone else has succeeded in ending it all. This is the most perverse form of trend setting you can get involved with.

Hope that these help.

It tells other people that you couldnt handle your problems in the real world and had to take the easy way out. but its not the easy way at all. im sure killing your self is nerve racking. second, your family and friends are really affected by it because they love you and you have played a role in their life. some people feel sorry for you. others dont. suicide is probably the lamest way to solve problems. because it really doesnt solve anything. all suicide does is leave your problems and unanswered questions with the ones you love and love you.

Googe it in socialogical studies. Or on line to a Juco library. I know annecdotally that families of the suicide victim never fully recover.
