If you have to ask, you have a lot to learn.

What kind of server? Web, file, print, application? What do you have to work with? Most home PC's won't stand up the the beating that a busy server requires. You may need to run Server versions of Windows or certain flavors of Linux to be able to handle multiple user connections. Good Luck!

You could install Microsoft Windows NT server.

it's pretty simple; just reverse some wires and such....so instead of being a receiver you are now a transmitter or a server....
