I can use these letter ERGHYOUND. My wife and I came up with GREYHOUND. but does greyhound mean oregon or vise versa?

The only 9 letter word that I can think of that is 9 letters and means Oregon is Territory, but that doesn't fit you letters.

greyhound does seem to be the only single word to be made of those letters. Can it be more than one word? I don't see the correlation between oregon and greyhound either.

Two words could be HUNGRY DOE, or YOUNG HERD but I don't know that either make any sense! HUG RODNEY makes even less sense, but I'm trying !!!!

It might not be much help, but if two words are permissable, how does "DRY ENOUGH" sound?

Although the climate is largely influenced by the Pacific Ocean, some parts of Oregon are known to be very dry.

It might be a stretch, but... it might just work.
