All I remember is Denzel as a "virtual cop" inside a video game world and Russell Crowe was a suave villain in cyberspace. Cheesy FX and severe overacting, and from two Oscar-winning actors. What was it called and why in the hell was it made?

"American Gangster" concerns Harlem drug kingpin Frank Lucas (Washington), who smuggled heroin in the body bags of U.S. soldiers slain in Vietnam. Brolin plays Det. Trupo, a crooked NYPD cop who piggybacks on the Lucas investigation conducted by Det. Ritchie Roberts (Crowe).

I've never seen this movie, it just sounds like it sucks.
