The reason you cannot see stars in the daytime is because the sunlight diffused in the atmosphere is so bright that it outshines all stars (except the sun). Being in a deep well would make no difference: the column of air above the well is just like any other daylight air as far as its light diffusing characteristics are concerned.

Whether you can see the sun itself or not, it still casts enough light on the Earth to block visibility of the stars. The sky is not blue, it only appears that way. The blue you see is actually the sun's light, refracted by the atmosphere like a lens.

Yes, but just at a special situation called "Supernova". A star became supernova at the end of its life if its mass is large enough (more than 10 times of the sun's mass). We can see the supernova in day light. One of the most famous supernovas in world was shining for two weeks in the sky.

As the well gets deeper, the opening will look smaller and smaller due to perspective. If you were in a really deep well, like a mine shaft, all you would see is a point source of light.

If a fairly near star goes nova, it can be seen during daylight, otherwise they are too dim compared to the sun.

No, because the light from the sun is obscuring the light from the stars. It's still there, just not visible...
It doesn't make a difference if you're in a well... plus, if you can see out, light will be getting in...

No. They're too small and too far away to see during daylight.
